The number on the front of a CBD bottle is the total cannabidiol content of the whole bottle — not the amount in a single drop. This trips up almost everybody at first.
Working out a per-drop amount
Divide the labelled total by the number of drops the bottle contains. A 10ml bottle holds roughly two hundred drops, so a 500mg bottle works out at approximately 2.5mg per drop. That figure, not the headline number, is what you are actually adjusting.
Choosing a starting strength
If you have not taken CBD before, start at the lowest strength. A higher-strength bottle is not a stronger product in kind, only in concentration — it usually represents better value per milligram for people who have already settled on a routine.
Adjusting
Give any change a couple of weeks before judging it. Keep the time of day consistent. Do not exceed the amount stated on the packaging, and speak to your GP or pharmacist first if you take prescription medication.
